Originally from Brooklyn, New York, I was raised in North Carolina, so I got to experience the best of both worlds. Every summer, my mom, sister, niece and I would take road trips back to Brooklyn, and those drives were everything. The open road, the changing landscapes, the music—those trips sparked my love for travel. I loved the contrast between the slow-paced, laid-back life in the South and the hustle and bustle of the city life in Brooklyn. It taught me to appreciate both the journey and the destination. My passion for travel was also fueled for my love for anime and my curiosity about Japan. This sparked my curiosity and opened up a desire to learn about cultures all over the world.

But as we all experience, life happened and somewhere along the way, I forgot about my passions and dreams. I got lost in the every day highs and lows of life and as a result, I never explored those passions—but I also never gave up on them. One day, I woke up and thought, I'm ready to follow my dreams. I was tired of just being and finally ready to start doing. And now, I want you to follow your dreams, too—whether that's traveling or whatever your heart desires. Go for it!
